Celebrate Oktoberfest!

The History
Oktoberfest is an annual festival in Munich, Germany, celebrated over two weeks and ending on the first Sunday in October. The festival originated on October 12, 1810, in celebration of the marriage of the crown prince of Bavaria, who later became King Louis I, to Princess Therese von Sachsen-Hildburghausen.

From a marriage festivities, by the late 20th century, the event developed into large beer halls where every brewery in Munich participated. The event would start with the Major of the city tapping the first keg to open the festival. Tens of thousands of beer enthusiasts from all over the world would come over to celebrate togetherness during this event.

The Tradition
Generation to generation, Germans are keeping true to their brewing tradition called Reinheitsgebot. This term refers to the strict use of four essential ingredients used for brewing: Malt, Hops, Water, and Yeast. The same method applied in the production of Bali Hai Brewery Indonesia’s beer.
